Questions for Debate

Some questions the debate moderators might ask Mr. Bush.

Sir, since Saddam didn’t actually threatened the United States, he had no WMDs and no ties with the Nine-Eleven terrorists, why did you go against nearly universal world opinion and invade a foreign nation thousands of miles, oceans and countries away? Why didn’t you let the UN weapons inspectors finish their job?

You have added $1.7 trillion to the national debt. That comes to $14,000 more the average taxpayer owes and on which he is paying almost a thousand dollars a year in interest. What has that debt bought for America?

You say that you are concerned about the environment and yet your administration has altered over 300 regulations that have meant an increase in air pollution. Aren’t you going in the wrong direction?

Why did you allow Congress to vote on the Medicare bill when you knew the price tag had been understated by $135 billion dollars?

You call yourself an outdoorsman and yet the fish in the rivers and lakes of 43 states in our country are unhealthy eat. What are you doing to reverse this situation?

Where were you in 1972 when you were supposed to be serving our country? No one has come forward to say they say you were with the Alabama Air National Guard. Why did you stop flying? Why didn’t you take your flight physical as ordered?

Why did you wait for two weeks while the Swift Boat veterans lied about Mr. Kerry’s record in Vietnam? Why didn’t you stand up immediately and say that kind of trash has no business in a political campaign in the United States of America?

Every credible scientist around the world says global warming presents an imminent danger and you say it doesn’t even exist. Do you think you know better?

Finally, sir, have you come up with anything yet that you might have done or not over the past for years that you now regret?

And that’s SetonnoteS...I’m Tony Seton.
