Perfidious Prevaricator

 

It is beyond me how anyone could still be supporting The Bush Boy yet the polls and my looney friends up in Redding suggest many still do. What’s puzzling is why anyone would be so lacking in character that they would continue to endorse a political leader who has lied so blatantly. And about the reasons for going to war, which Poppy Bush declared was the most sacred responsibility of a leader.

Bush-Lite lied about Saddam having WMDs, lied about his having links to the terrorists who attacked us on Nine-Eleven, lied about Iraq posing an imminent threat to our country and lied about the world being behind us in our IraqAttaq. Now with thousands of American men and women killed and maimed, with no other explanation for the invasion, how can a moral person think Bush should be given another four years, unless it’s in prison?

Of course, if people haven’t grok’d how dangerous this man is by now, Jesus, Mary and Joseph wouldn’t likely convince them either. However, if you perchance run across someone who seems wavering, you might toss a couple of thoughts in their direction. Carefully, so you don’t overtax them.

First, this administration was planning to invade Iraq from before they even took office. This is documented. Second, they chose to invade before the UN inspectors, who hadn’t found anything, had quite finished their searching. This, because it would have been impossible to invade after the inspectors said there were no WMDs. Third, David Kay, our inspector, said there never were WMDs to find.

And finally, in a new interview with the BBC, Saddam’s chief nuclear scientist disclosed that the Iraqi dictator gave up all his WMDs in the wake of the 1991 Gulf War.

Of course, that will mean little to the neoliths, but at least you’ll have made a case that only those have given up thought can deny.
